Please bring the Note to Verizon! (and why I LOVE the Note)

aentropy

This is my absolute dream phone. I can't imagine switching from Verizon but I would for this phone.

But, this thing on Verizon's LTE network would be incredible, especially if it launched with ICS 4.0 installed.

What I love most about it:

1) The size makes it so I don't need a tablet at all (come on Samsung, take some of that iPad market share!).

2) I'm tall and have big hands so the size wouldn't be difficult but I really think it is manageable for the majority of people, just need to get used to it.

3) The stylus or s-pen would be HUGE for me. I need to take notes for work and this would be way faster than typing them in. Plus, sketching and playing around would be fun. Anyone that has younger kids will also know how great that would be for them to play with when you are trying to keep them quiet or pass the time.

4) The bigger battery would hopefully make it so I don't have to worry about how much I'm using it throughout the day.

If anyone at Verizon or Samsung is watching please get this thing over here and not just on AT&T. Blaze that Phablet trail and have some faith!!!

It would be a huge seller for Verizon b/c many people don't want to carry around a table, like me. I have two laptops, what do I need a tablet for that doesn't fit in my pocket and doesn't fil in many smaller pocketbooks that women have.

Couple that need with the Verizon LTE Network and they will blow everyone away. VZW would be stupid not to go for this because eventually, someone else will. Those who don't want IPads or other tablets will not buy them.

So I have heard Verizon WAS going to carry it in the U.S (says Samsung Galaxy Note Review - Samsung Galaxy Note Reviews, FAQ, Prices), but T-Mobile is a main carrier in the U.K so it might be safe to say that T-Mobile might be the first.

T-Mobile is half-dead in the U.S. I doubt they are going to put up the money to carry this phone. It's definitely not going to SAVE them. I think they will try to get the Galaxy Nexus before they touch the Galaxy Note.

It also doesn't make sense for Verizon to carry this phone too. They already have three major phones in Galaxy Nexus, Droid RAZR and HTC Rezound. This is all on top of the iPhone 4S. I think Verizon is done for the holidays. They don't need this phone.

Who needs it the most? Sprint and AT&T. Their best phones are only iPhone 4S (hype is already dead) and Samsung Galaxy SII variants. Currently, I'd say they are behind Verizon in terms of the BEST lineup of phones.

Verizon right now are the Miami Heat. They just acquired the Big Three.

AT&T should get the Galaxy Note since they are probably going to have to wait to carry any of the big Verizon phones that's coming out this month.

Just my thinking. Also, the Note passed through FCC with AT&T bands I believe. It may come later like the Galaxy SII but it sure looks like it's in the works. Maybe they are trying to gauge the European and Asian sales before carrying it.

I was trying to convince myself about the Galaxy Nexus but I have really thought about the idea of having a 5.3" screen, a whole in larger than the, GN and 2 inches larger than my BlackBerery Storm 2. I am going to wait, so Verizon, get to it!

Glad to see others are really excited about the prospect of this coming here as well.

I don't care if Verizon gets it within the next 3 months or so, just that they get it at some point in 2012. This thing is as close to perfection as it can get, it needs to be on Verizon's LTE network!!!

Well said. This has been what I've wanted since Archos 5s came out several years ago. my dream phone as well. Definitely want it more than the Nexus though I've been waiting for it... Note trumps all.. and in comparisons beats the heck out of the Nexus. Include artists to those that would want a portable WACOM tablet , seniors so they can see it easier, and businesses that require signatures.

This was my dream phone as well, that's why I got it. .My 7" tablet now stays at home and the note is always with me...super easy to carry, no need of 2 devices anymore, the note is a tablet and a phone . I got Skype so my friends in Europe can finally find me and I can use it when travelling in Europe with a simple switch of Sim cards.!

Here is one more Note-fanatic. Note was the answer to my prays, I previously owned Dell Streak 5 and I just loved the size of it. The screen was great, optimal for mobility and usability. Dell worked very well.. when it didn't crash or empty all user information.
In September, Dell's instability forced me to buy Samsung G S 2. It is a great device, but I still was missing the 5 inch screen of Dell.
In December, the Note became available in Finland and I immediately purchased it. It is a perfection, a superior mobile device for web, movies, pictures, music, GPS, messaging... and even for drawing and telephoning :)
I use a laptop for working and in my sparetime I use the Note, don't need anything else, it's perfect.

I have had the note two Weeks. I could not talk on the phone anywhere in my house because att sucks in Richmond, VA. So I ordered the mini cell tower, and that problem is solved. Also because att reception is so spotty, my google maps navigation kept dropping signal. So now I have ordered a garmin Nuvi.

Note $675
2 year warranty with accident protection $95
used att mini tower $120

Garmin Nuvi $ 242

$1132 is what it has cost me because the note is on att.

Yesterday, before ordering garmin, I actually listed it on Ebay but for two hours, I just pined for it. There is truly, at this time, nothing like it. I love it. I sold my Samsung galaxy tab, don't need it. Rarely use my regular computer. The note is magnificent. So I canceled the Ebay listing. But what an extravagance this is. Ouch for love.

But were it on Verizon, I would sell the one I have and switch and never look back.

I too am holding out for the Note. But I have to have it on Verizon. Surely there must be a way to convert it? No? I can't switch to a carrier with less coverage. PLEASE SAMSUNG AND VERIZON, we want the Note.

Sorry, if it's LTE, it won't have the Exynos. That's why if I ever bought one for AT&T, I'd get the International version. LTE is not a big deal for me.

Great News!!! Don't care if it's Exynos or Snapdragon; looks like I now won't have to leave Verizon & loose my unlimited data. If Snapdragon is required for LTE, no problem....I'm very impressed with the 4G LTE speeds my wife gets on her Samsung Stratosphere.

This statement you made...
"It also doesn't make sense for Verizon to carry this phone too"
Why Not?

I'm on AT&T and hate their network. Been looking for a reason to jump to Verizon.
The Samsung Galaxy Note is the reason.
Now take me and multiply me by hundreds more of me who's been looking for a reason to jump to Verizon and you will have your answer.
Increased market share and more $$$ for Verizon!
I think that is reason enough for Verizon to carry this phone!

Note to VZW: YES, GET THE SAMSUNG NOTE...

Similar to the sentiments expressed here, I too have no interest in being burdened with two devices - phone and tablet. The Note appears to be a great middle ground and then some. The flexibility of the pen will be a truly useable and welcomed addition.

I love the NOTE! Currently on Verizon and hopefully they will have it when it's time to upgrade in the next couple of months, otherwise I'll consider going back to AT&T.

If not the note, something very similar, although that seems difficult.

Just left Verizon for AT&T and the Samsung Galaxy Note -- just a few hours into it being my main phone (I had the initial Motorola Droid and will take some time getting familiar to the virtual keyboard but have lot screen to work with).

Like the pen input and hope to be able to get used to going to that to capture notes.

Out of the box I like it.

What tools/apps do you recommend as I have jumped on the Note?

thanks
