hey i need help in how to get around a screen lock with numbers not pattern. is there any tricks and tips WITHOUT formatting? or maybe by connectiing it to computer? please let me know ASAP and for those who think its a stolen phone if it was i would be reformatting it not caring about the data and even then the imei number wouldnt change so it would be a useless blocked phone. im in need of some genuine help please

I know with the pattern lock, after so many incorrect entries, you need to enter your gmail account info and it unlocks. Might be the same with number entries.

It works the same way.

If you're having trouble with the password entry, first try entering it as null (odd, but it works a lot of the time). If it still doesn't work, try the password recovery option on the gmail website.

EDIT: I also don't know if this works, but I found it on google:

I have deliberately PUK locked my N1 phone. and I have confirmed the correct way to enter your PUK code.

1. call your carrier / go on your carriers web site <-(may vary) and get your PUK.
2. boot your N1 and press the emergency call button.
3. enter the following. **05* (PUK CODE) * (NEW PIN) * (CONFIRM NEW PIN) #

E.G. **05*2736491*0000*0000#

4. when you push "#" yore screen will dull (like when it shuts down) and a message will say some stuff (I didn't pay attention that much), with "unlocking phone" at the end.

The PUK code often comes in the box with the phone, or is available via the network's website.
