Root Please help froyo can't update

I'm running 2.3.340 and can't download anything in market says unsuccessful. I can't load any working backups because now they say md5 mismatch. I'm trying to get to rooted gingerbread but I sbf wipe and the installation of the first file gets error code seven. My phone makes calls and text but that's about it. Any ideas?
 
so you have done an sbf back to 2.3.340 froyo.
and you rooted, and what are you trying to download from the market?


im not sure i follow your question, it seems strange, but i will do my best at helping you


-you have sbf'd before?
-make sure you download the CORRECT sbf file which is the full system, the 2nd link in my signature will help you with that
-once you boot to bootloader, make sure your battery is AT LEAST 40% cause sbfing will eat your battery alive
-once the phone reboots remove the battery and put it back in
-boot using the power+home, let go of power when you see the Moto M but continue holding home
-once you see the exclamation you hit the search button, then proceed to data wipe and cache wipe, then reboot?
-once its booted you root, and reboot?
-once your rooted, do you install Droid X or Droid 2 bootstrapper?
-do you hit bootstrap recovery? and then reboot recovery?
-do you wipe data and cache and dalvik cache before installing the 2 part rooted GB???
 
Yes to all. I have been sbfing for a while. Market will not download anything. Doesnt even show status.
 
you are aware what sbfing is right? im not trying to make you sound incompetent, but when you sbf your phone is going back to the stock format that it originally was. Which if your unable to download apps through the market there may be other forces at play here.
 
I know what sbf does.hell I was only stock rooted when all this happened. I think a system app may be messed up
 
if you maderstcok and go to gb you will have problems, you have to sbf, the fact that you cannot download apps is beyond me, there may be a problem with your data connection. or wifi connection
 
Thanks so much for trying. I am gonna try a few things and if that doesn't work im gonna disguise my problem and send it back.
 
Fixed thanks man for trying to help. I had to go back into my memory bank and figure out how this may have happened. Surprisingly i figured it out. Works like a charm. Market, Backups, Restore, and i will soon find out if gb works.
 
what was the cause of it? 9 times out of 10 the sbf works as long as you did it correctly, the fact you did it correctly and it still didnt work, makes me wonder, so give us details on what was the issue, and how you fixed it
 
i reinstalled the old market. that worked then broke again. So i then installed liberty and i guess it gave me proper system files? not sure but it worked. I then sbf back to stock and now im on GB deodexed and no throttle. Thanks for your help. I spent over 12 hours on this issue over several days.
