Hello ,
I have the HTC Desire HD , and my problem is that i am not able to play HD movies on my device properly .
All my movies on my sd card are of more than 2 gb in size and totally HD and their format is avi or mp4 . The video plays VERY slow and lags a lot . I have tried almost all the players on market , but the problem is same . i dont know what do .
Please Help :(

you do know that the screen res on the DHD is worse than PAL SD, right? convert your HD videos to SD and they'll play fine.

? what? its not about the format; you'll probably want to lower the bitrate somewhat, but if the files already are compatible with the phone theres no need to change format. just make them 1024x576 or the regional equivalrnt..

yeah Handbrake should do the trick alright, Production Premium CS5 might be overkill for this ;)

Also Quicktime Pro ($20) will do it as will the "Devices" option in Vuze < which I can heartily recommend...

AnyVideoConverter is free and converts just about anything to anything.

I cured the audio sync problem by using ArcMedia.
