I was more looking for something that would integrate appointments, tasks and weather all into one view under each date. The weather forecast would state high/lo with weather icon indicating sunny, cloudy, storm, etc. beside the date. The appointments and tasks would be under the date in chronological order in which they are going to be done. Non dated tasks would appear last under the date and shift to the next date if uncompleted. Ability to filter and collapse dates so I can view relevant information. These are the main things I'm looking for. I hope my explanation is good.
The tabs on the side, I can replicate by creating folders or using default folders and using other home screens with appropriate widgets/shortcuts. Like the Launcher tab, I can dedicate a home screen for it. Make new folders for Productivity, Games, etc. Then place corresponding apps into each folder for access. This will help organize my app collection and launching of apps. If I forget an app name (which has happened before), I look into the folder it should be under to get to it quickly. Example: TextMaker, PlanMaker and Presentations (SoftMaker's Office Suite) will go into my Productivity folder in the dedicated launcher home screen. I can do the same for contacts. Put All Contacts folder into the dedictated home screen and place shortcuts to commonly used contacts within it too.
Yep, just have to be a little inventive with how I work with Android.
I ended up getting Agenda Plus Widget because it's close to what I'm looking for. Not exactly, but close enough. Still missing a few things I'm still trying to work around. I also need to figure out how to get the tasks into it (I use PimliCal/A for both calendar and tasks).
I'll probably look for a weather widget (that can give 7 day forcast) and put it under or over the agenda as a workaround for integrated weather.
I think I'm starting to let my biases go and start leaving my WM behind (if I don't stop bringing it along, I might not be able to let go).
Thanks for the open discussion. It helped me think about solutions and letting go of the past. I'm starting to feel I've made some progress.
