Hi,sry for my bad English first. I don't know very well what I did but after buying my first smart phone of my life which is nexus 5 400

Hi there and welcome to the forums!

I'm so sorry you are having issues with your N5. To make sure I know exactly what happened, please read the following and tell me if I'm on the right track:

You rooted your nexus 5 then disabled the google search app. After you did this, your phone started rebooting but ended up in a boot loop (constantly trying to reboot). You finally got your phone to go back to working but now your battery life is very bad.

Am I on the right track?

One thing to note is that your phone will get stuck in a boot loop every time you disable the google search app. This app contains your launcher (homescreen) and without it, the phone will not know what to boot to, so it will just keep rebooting. I'm frankly surprised you managed to get past this somehow

omg thank you for the reply and GOOD bles you. all this started after i desabled google search, the phone turned off and started and freezing on moving 4 colours(i dont know how to name it). i tunred off by presing volum up, down and power. still the same. after 1 houer of praying and pressing averything it shows up something like WINTEAM (im not sure for the name). there i pressed REBOOT but still the same frezze on 4 colours. i turned off again, WINTEAM and again prees RECOVERY. my phone turned on with no apps installed only with SUPERSU app on it. my another i think is that i reset the phone again thinking that i will resolve all the problems. now my phone cant connect to playstore i cant use hangouts sms. i saw from astrofile manager the folders and there still apps folders installed before but i dont see icons on menu. another thing is that i did some text changes with an app but after reseting that change is still inside my phone. HOPPE you understand my damn english

The four dots you are referring to is the boot screen.

When you rooted, did you install an alternate ROM or did you just install superSU?

So now that you have a phone that boots, do you have access to any of your apps? If not, I think you may be in a situation where a factory reset is in order.

I suspect you are referring to TWRP (Team Win Recovery).

After installing the recovery, do you know if you took a nandroid backup? If so, you should try to restore that (be aware that you will lose any changes you made after taking the backup - example: pictures/videos etc that you may have taken after that will be lost unless you back those up - same thing with game progress or other apps that you use - unless they are auto-backed up or you back them up, the data will be lost - you can always reinstall the app of course)

Worst case scenario, you can flash the stock images - that will return your phone to the same software as you had when it was released from the manufacturer.

Rooting is useful, but please understand what you are doing after rooting, before you do it. Disabling Google Apps is dangerous, as you can see. Making text changes to (system?) files can lead to unintended results.

If you are relatively new to Android, please read, read, and read some more. Then, ask questions - most folks here are fairly helpful :)

Edit: Do take the time to read this thread. Fairly informative

If you can boot into the TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP) again, you should be able to use "adb shell" to re-enable the Google Search app. There's a crash course in ADB (including some instructions on how to set it up) here: http://androidforums.com/faqs/443072-adb-guide-updated-2013-05-21-a.html

You should then be able to issue the following command from your PC:
Code:
PC> adb shell
shell@hammerhead:/ $ su
root@hammerhead:/ # pm enable com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
root@hammerhead:/ # pm enable com.google.android.launcher

Reboot and your launcher *should* work again. I think. :D

If it comes to flashing the factory image, there's a handy guide on how to do that there: http://androidforums.com/android-sy...e-how-flash-nexus-factory-image-manually.html

And you can download the latest image for the Nexus 5 ("hammerhead") here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#hammerhead

Good luck!

thanks all of you, i love you all, friend of my told me that i must unroot my phone. i did it and my phone is like a new. thanks all of you and i love this forum. now and after i will only read read and only read. GOOD BLESS YOU

Glad things are working ok for you.

Just so you know, if done correctly, rooting/unrooting in itself will not cause problems with the phone. But after rooting, if you make 'bad' system changes, that is what will cause problems :)

Indeed, good result. The reason phones don't come rooted by default is due to scenarios like this, you have access to everything on the phone and can effectively delete everything (causing disastrous results to those not in the know)

Once you know what you're doing though rooting is a wonderful thing :D
