Last week, I did a factory reset, then went into rooting and installing the recovery mod and missed a step. I came here to get help, however, didn't receive any, so since I got a few calls waiting on someone to respond to the post, I thought it was working fine, but it's come back to bite me big time.
Being "half-rooted", I thought doing a second hard set would get things back to factory. Nope. It kept going straight to the boot menu. So I tried to move the "cursor" up and down but it would't move. So it rebooted. Now it's stuck in a rolling boot. So no matter what I do, it will go to the recovery menu, but will not let me choose or goes into the rolling android screen and drains the battery. I hope this time someone will help me and not that I need to put this out here get help, but I have Multiple Sclerosis, I have no working house phone, I can't get out of the house and I depend on my phone to communicate with doctors and other medical services and I don't have a lot of money (o.k. I'm flat broke) and a new phone is just a fantasy of mine, but if you read this and you can't help, please ask someone who can help me to look into my post. Ugh. . .
Edited to say my son got to the menu and now I can choose what I need to do the phone, so since I did miss that step in the first post, should I just do the factory reset or continue correcting the "root/recovery" or leave it alone?
Edited to say: Unfortunately my phone bit it. It didn't get bricked, it got dropped thousands of times and now it's just a smart-radiation-phone, so I had to get a new one, but it was planned so I'm now in the process of trying to root that one. Found the appropriate thread and reading over it. *Sigh*... lol.
