I am new to this so please help. I have the Samsung Epic and you know how you slide the icon up to unlock the phone? Is there anyway of changing the Icon or changing the whole look to something different?? I would like a free one or paid. Please help and let me know thank you everyone.

There is an app called Widget Locker. It's a paid app that replaces your lockscreen with different choices, and also allows you to place widgets on your lockscreen.

+1 for Widget Locker. Not only does it let you tweak the sliders and add widgets, but if you do some Googling you can see how other people at the XDA forums are completely theming it out.
