Help Please Help. No audio whatsoever from s3

Hello there fine people, I have a big problem. As the title states, I have no audio whatsoever. Here are the details:

I have had the phone for a month and a bit. No problems until yesterday. I noticed the SMS notification will not play, the phone will only vibrate.

I took the battery out, waited a while, turned it on again, seemed to be fixed.

Today, same thing happens. I do the pull, and it returns to normal for a little bit. 30 mins later, same thing happens, however, this time there is no audio whatsoever. Not even from the internet, or youtube.

What I have tried:

Battery pull

changing notifications (none will play audio)

swiping the top and making sure the notifications is ON and the sound is ON


I have looked online for a bunch and tried some peoples solutions, but nothing seems to work. It is as if my phone is on vibrate and I can't get it to change back.

if it was me i would bring it in for a warranty claim you should need to do any tricks to make it have sound

*EDIT*

Moments after posting, I turned my phone on again and while pressing the screen, my music started playing. I now think that there might be something with the phone itself and not a setting.
