Help Please help!! Phone not getting recognized

Hi guys,

Last week my rooted S2 was getting recognized on my PC and my friend's PC. (Without Kies) But today when I tried, both Kies and mass storage are not getting recognized. Things I have tried -

1. Reinstalling Kies.
2. Reinstalling all drivers.
3. Some websites said some cache may be causing this issue; searched for all cache and deleted the long file names.
4. Phone is not getting detected by Odin either.
5. Wiped cache partition in recovery.
6. Played around with USB debugging.
7. Did a factory reset.

Did all of the above but still facing this issue. Please help!!

Note - When I plug in the phone, it says MTP connected and gets charged, but PC is not recognizing the device.

When my phone couldn't have been recognized one time restart didn't help, I had to take out a battery and put it back again. It solved my issue, i think it was due to some services which I tried to stop.

Try running through this excellent Kies connection post by hawker. It worked like a charm for me.
