Help Please help - phone not working!

hiya everyone,
i am new on here and in need of some help - there may be some one out there experiencing the same with their samsung galaxy ace - and would be grateful if anyone knows if its a fixable problem.

i turned my phone on this morning and it started doing that vibrating thing, which it does when you open an app and it forces it to close.

the message that comes up across the front screen is ''the application samsung home (process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again'' underneath this is one box which says 'force close'. i click force close and it just brings this box up time and time again!

i have no home screen, its blank, i cant access anything other than task manager by holding down the home key. i have tried taking out the battery and restarting numerous times, and have taken sd card card out and back in but still same message

i'm guessing that 73 people have looked at this and i havent had any solutions that the future isnt looking bright for my phone!!

Hi, sorry that so many have read this but nobody has replied! This is a common problem & will happen from time to time if a certain app crashes your phone. Try pressing power button & centre menu button at the same time & you'll get a list of options. Use volume buttons on left to move up/down & select "factory reset". This is the only way to re-boot your phone I believe, but you will lose some apps & settings. Make sure you have all your contacts etc on your SIM & remove SD card while doing it. Hope this helps. You prefixed your post with "General," rather than with "Support," so many of those attracted to giving assistance to users didn't bother to click in and read your post because they search out "Support" prefixed posts.

I've changed the prefix for you.

In the mean time, you can remove your battery and then reinsert it, boot up and clear all cache and data in all apps which allow that. Then uninstall apps from Market, all of them because it's apparent that one of them is not playing nice with your phone's operating system.

Next, reinstall them one at a time and run each app for a while before installing the next. When the problem comes up again, you'll likely know which app is the rogue and needs to stay out of your phone.

It takes a bit of time.
