Please help, Phone unresponsive

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I have a Wildfire s

I just replaced my digitizer but now the damn phone won't switch on, I had it switched on and working perfectly after the screen refit but when I powered off to put in my sim card, it wouldn't switch back on,

When I plug my charger in the LED will not even come on.

I read that some people had the same problem with ipod screen refits, and the solution was to short the battery terminal, I really don't understand how to do that, plus it is a different thing altogether.

Has anyone had experience in this?

I really need to get into my phone, please help.

I just had it on! Then I snapped the power button ribbon, I could honestly cry.

It is in fact, not the end for my faithful companion. It is back from the dead, somehow.

You can switch the phone on using the usb cable, who would have thought?
