I have a samsung gallexey s2 and have installed something and can not figure out how to get rid off.

I have looked in market under installed apps and in settingsings running services. I am trying to attach a pic of the icon that appears at the top of screen . It looks like a tag with 3 curved lines on bottom left and a hole top center.

What's the name of the app in question?

Did the icon appears on notification bar, left side?

Then it might be an aggressive ad of AirPush from an app you have installed recently.

Install Lookout's Ad Network Detector and let it find that culprit app.

EDIT:
The first step first :)
If the icon on the notification bar belongs to an app, you should see its name when you pull down the notification bar.

I finally found the name. It's NFS SERVICES. I found it in settings, applications and tab all. i cant remove. There is no option i can find anywhere to uninstal . There is an option to stop running but it restart on its own.

Sorry about the attachment not working. I made a screen shot but didn't upload it correctly . The tag is on the far top, right side group, but left off clock, battery level ,phone signal.

When i use pull down menu nothing appears for that symbol . Just my options for turning on or off wifi Bluetooth GPS and so on.

My android version is 2.3.6.

Thanks for responding to my post.

Didn't know that this Android version supports NFC already :confused:

But then you could try in
Menu->Settings->Wireless&network->NFC
to un-check it.

Good luck :)

EDIT: Oh, I think I mixed it up with NFC, or did you? ;)
