Root PLEASE HELP!! :( Stuck in a loop of unfortunate app stoppage lol dl mode does nothing....so lost....

Lurker
So I apologize if this is not the correct location for my question but please any help would be immensely appreciated. So here it is basically...
I have an LG ls740 (boost - volt) that came stock zv4 so after looking around a bit I gathered enough info to go ahead and root my phone. I used LgFlashTool to flash back to zv3 which I successfully did without any problems thanks to people like you guys who have posted some exceptional guides. After going back to zv3 I used Towelroot to root my phone, which also worked. TitaniumBackup to back up files, normal root apps. Here's where my nightmare started....I was deleting unecessary apps and accidentally deleted the "phone" app. Everything still worked but it no longer saved call logs in RocketDialer which is what I use for my dialer and my contacts were gone. So now I go into TitaniumBackup and restore the phone files which causes my phone to now REPEATEDLY loop the message "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" over and over and over. I tried to factory reset and wiped the cache partition. Everything I can think of. After factory reset I realized developer options usb debugging was no longer on so after about 2 hours i finally managed in between fighting off the repeating unrelenting message pop ups i managed to, in between clicking okay to get to developer options and turn on usb debugging. now i get phone to firmware update screen message in box says "CHARGER_ONS B84" and under that in red "ROOTED" but the computer will not recognize my device in the device manager. and now on top of that lgflashtool says "Previous Load Failed()" everytime i click play. nothing happens on phone no idea where to go or what to do. Please help me!? :crying:

Howdy there!
Well, the least I can help you with, is move your thread into the root forum for your device;)
The good folks here may be able to offer some help:)

You should wipe everything except storage and flash a clean ROM.zip and start from scratch.
Or restore a nandroid...

I had to break this down so i could understand it better....

**You used LgFlashTool to flash back to zv3 successfully.
(So the driver should still be installed.)

**The firmware update screen message in box says "CHARGER_ONS B84" and under that in red "ROOTED" but the computer will not recognize my device in the device manager.
(The phone is in DL mode waiting for the lgFlash tool, good.)

lgflashtool says "Previous Load Failed()" ....click play nothing happens.
1. Restart lgflashtool
2. Click the manual box, the old settings should be there.
3. Click Ok.
4. Click Play.
5. Unplug the usb from the phone while DLmode is on.
6. Plug the usb in to the phone again.
7. The flash should start.
let me know.

I see no need to restore with download mode ... You have a custom recovery...restore a backup or flash the updated ROM and start from scratch

The person said it was going to download mode.... Which is strange indeed. If the USB is unplugged it should get into recovery.

I don't see where he said he actually installed a recovery, but that's a good point.

@dcourt19 - If you can fight throughout the relentless prompts to get Flashify installed and install TWRP, you can clean flash the zv5 ROM.

Flashify is on the play store.
TWRP
zv5 ROM
zv5 radio
