Please help!!!! Urgent

Hello, I have a galaxy s gtI9000, I am currently using Go Launcher Ex as my default launcher, and im running on froyo.
The problem is that, on my messages app icon it shows me I have 1 sms. And in the status bar it also shows me I have a message when I actually dont.
When I click on the icon from the status bar, it takes me to the "compose a message" screen.
I have restarted my phone, changed launchers, even waited for a long period of time.. But still nothing works ??? Can someone please help me because its driving me crazzyyyy!!!!!!!

djSKD4 - I realise that this may not be the answer you want, but have you tried using a different SMS app... I use Go! SMS, rather than the stock one (on my Desire HD) and have always found it pretty good (better than the stock one)... I know that you have a SGS, which is different to my DHD, but using a different app sorted a similar problem for one of the other DHD users!
