Hey guys...

Ever since I got my tablet I used a 3G usb dongle to connect to the internet and now all of a sudden when I plug the dongle in it doesn't work.....the weird thing is as soon as I turn my screen off the dongle starts connecting (blue light flashes on dongle) but when I turn the screen on it dissapears again...any suggestions??

I think check and use a different dongle nd see that if the problem is countinue with that dongle or not....
try it and reply must..

If tried with another dongle and flashdrives still nothing and I don't think there is something wrong with the usb port because it still works if I connect it to a pc.
 
What make and model is the tablet? Is it a cheap off-brand Chinese device? This sounds typical of a problem you might get with a Chinese tablet. If the USB is defective you'll have to return it for repair or replacement.

When you connect it to your PC, the PC is the USB host. However when you connect USB drives and modems to the tablet, the tablet itself becomes USB host, this is probably where the fault is.
 
I'm sure MSI(MicroStar) is actually a reputable Taiwan company. I know they always made really good PC mainboards.

I still think it's probably faulty though, based on what you've described. It won't support/host USB devices any more, such as USB thumb-drives and 3G modems. Which is different to plugging it into a PC. Is it under warranty?
