Please help with earpiece volume , maybe a silly question

Thanks for reading , so here goes ....I had purchased a Note 3 with At&T about a week ago ( coming from a Galaxy S4 also AT&T ) I had mainly been using my bluetooth but the last few days I decided to go without and I was kinda not digging how low the earpiece is during call ( speakerphone super loud for me ) callers say I sound nice and loud and clear ... I dont think the earpiece is ridiculously low but its low to me where if there is a little noise in the background its hard for me to hear with slider all the way up for incall volume. I have used the call boost icon and that does help but its kinda a pain to hit that every time plus it doesnt sound as clear its just LOUD ...I dont think my S4 was this low ... I was reading somewhere that within using the service codes or menus that people are able to change the default earpiece volume to louder has anyone tried this ? I posted to ask in another android forum if people thought that there earpiece volume was kinda low and I was called names , told to clean my ears and go back to my iphone ( which I never had ) ...I am just trying to find out if this is common or do I have a bad unit. Everything else is awesome which is why I dread a exchange . Anyone else can lend a opinion on what they think , any help would be apreciated it thanks
 
You are certainly welcome to ask any question you want without being ridiculed here. I do not own a Note 3 so I cannot help you, but please be patient because I am positive someone will be able to.
 
Hmm, I have never had this issue before when I have connected my BT ear piece, granted I have only done this a handful of times since I was just trying it out.

(Also sorry to hear about the bad experiences on that other forum :()

Have you maybe seen if your BT device has a software update?

I think the issue is with the phones speaker rather than the bt earpiece.

That's the way I read it anyway.
 
I am having a similar problem the ear piece volume seams to have dropped since the last note 3 security update and the loud speaker for phone conversations is practically useless! Music plays really quite loud through the loud speaker though. I've have checked and changed all sorts of setting and nothing seams to make a difference. I hope I don't have to return my phone as it's the best thing since sliced bread. Hopefully someone will know how to raise the volume on this phone and help us out.
