I totally bricked my samsung galaxy s with odin, probably used the wrong software. Does anyone have an SBF for this phone or link I could download the file please, I was running on eclair? Thanks

Can you get into download mode? If you can go to Login - www.SamFirmware.com and get the firmware from there.

The screen stays black and won't show anything at all, but if i remove battery then plug usb and volume down home power button it shows connection in odin. Then if i try different format files it still fails and i can't get it to stick.

Well I dont think yo have bricked it all.
you just have a bad software on it.
Remove the battery .
Putt it back.
Hold volume down and menu button then push the power button when you hold the others down.
Release the power button only when you see it start.
Now you would be in download mode.

Then you can flash a firmware on it.

Seek this forum for more information on that.
