I let someone wipe my data from my HTC vivid yesterday because they convinced me it would fix the issues I had been having with the phone, not only did it not, but now I can't download any new apps...trying to get back the newer Facebook app and.my.swiftkey since they were wiped, it says will download shortly.but.never does, any ideas?

I would check an make sure that Google Play was still linked to my g-mail account. Somewhere in the menu there is a place to choose your account. If that doesn't work, try clearing the data and cache(again) on just the Play app.
