anyone know why this keeps happening? I can't access apps/make phone calls/text.

Is your device rooted? You could try flashing a rooted version of stock and see if that helps. I don't see anything wrong with your screenshot to be honest.

It's not rooted. The screenshot is something that just appears a lot and it doesn't let me do anything else. It's just stuck there

Isn't that the desk clock in the Clock app/desk home?

Check
Settings>accessories>show desk home screen

(Or something like that)

Make sure it's unchecked
