Sounds like the old school default MySQL search. It would give up on 3 letter words, and it would scold you for trying

Phases and Rob and the mods have really cultivated a laid-back, friendly Android community. This is no small task. And this is very much a part of what makes AF a great, addictive place to hang out, laugh, and learn some Android tips -- all at the same time.

Oh I have seen the politics section Even tossed a few rants in there myself

That one section is given extra leeway though because of the nature of politics being a passionate and personal topic.

But people do still get banned from in there if they get too far out of line.

Not sure how a conversation from searching went to a discussion about how the PCA section is moderated.

As for just any mods doing volunteer work to help users (that is our first job, moderating is simply a way of weeding out the less than helpful) - I doubt you'd want our spammers to be doing this job.

In any case, this thread has run its course and then some.
