Help PLS be patient with the noob<<<

Hello forum,
I just got my Admire yesterday so I'm still new to the whole touch and android thing. I was able to update the phone yesterday by dialing *228 and pressing 5 but after all that it still showing 1x.

How do I go about in picking/changing PRL's?

I would like to recommend that you take your own advice and be patient with metro pcs. They are slowly but surely updating the towers and ota 3g to people, what prl did you get when you updated through *228?
 
You can manually update to 3025 but I was on 3019 forever and I patiently waited for ota update and finally was updated to 3025 and I have amazing speeds with my 3g now
