Help Pls help! Galaxy Ace Pattern screen lock vs clock icon (bug/crash?)

Did anyone faced the same problem?

I set the pattern screen lock for about a week, and it work normally with no problem with the clock.

But yesterday, as usual n I tried to set alarm thru the clock icon, the pattern lock showed up and keep locking all the function of my phone (except power button) no matter how many unlock attemp i tried.

Then I press the power button to shut off and then restart and set unable the pattern lock....the clock went normal then (no pattern unlock screen showed up)

I also tried the PIN & Password screen unlock....then similar problem happened as above

Before the problem happen, I uninstall ZD box and installed App2SD...is this related?

I reinstall the ZD box application...set up the pattern lock...enter the clock...everything goes normal! then I uninstall the ZD box...enter the clock again...nothing happen!

so the problem solved by my self no more than 15 min after I posted this thread :D

I would conclude: IF YOU FACED THE SAME PROBLEM...TRY TO REINSTALL SOME LAST APP YOU ALREADY UNINSTALLED BEFORE, THEN TRY PRESS THE CLOCK ICON (HOPE THE PROBLEM SOLVED) AND YOU CAN UNINSTALL THE APPS FREELY

MAYBE SOME FILE RELATED TO / SHARED BETWEEN THE CLOCK AND OTHER APPS BEING DELETED UPON THE UNINSTALL PROCESS.
 
I initially wanted to eliminate the "app2sd extreem" by re-using the ROM flashing DXKC1-S5830. But after the flashing process is complete, my screen displays the line - colored lines. Then I try to flash again and the description of Odin "pass". After rebooting, my touch screen not working, but the volume buttons, power and home functioning. But when I press the power button, there is only the "power off". Please help me on this issue. thanks

Hi All,
I got Samsung galaxy ace mobile 2 weeks back and for the past 2 days I could see that the screen lock is not happening after power off. When I power on it does not ask me for screen lock pattern and directly it takes me to the page where I was earlier. When I disable the screen lock and then set it, it works for sometime and again the problem starts. Please help me how to resolve this. Thanks in advance.

At the moment I have found part of the solution, that the autoscreenoff time causes this problem to occur when it is set to null. i.e. not set to any time interval. If you set to any time interval, the screen patter lock problem will not occur, but the problem is, the autoscreenoff time interval resets itself automaticlly to null.
 
I had the same problem. Phone screen used to get locked when i tried to access clock(from widget or from home.) Had to disable the lock pattern.

Anyhow, my solution:

1. goto -> setting -> applications -> Manage Applications -> Running -> Clock
2. Clear data.

activated the lock pattern & clock was working now!!

Hi,

I am still facing the issue :(

Options i have tried :
1. Stopped the pattern lock -> Cleared the Clock Data -> activate the pattern lock - NOT WORKING :mad:
2. Uninstalled the latest applications. - Still NOT WORKING :mad:

It keeps on locking the screen in loop. Please help me :confused::confused:
