Hello folks.

I have looked at lots of guides, but I'm stuck and just cannot progress, I'm finding this programming stuff quite difficult.

I'd like to learn, but keep hitting a brick wall. I installed Cyanogenmod on my Nexus 4 using the one-click-installer as I don't know how to do it any other way but now need to revert back to 4.3 as I am having issues with my mic / earpiece and lack of bluetooth.

Here is the summary of where I am up to:

1. I have downloaded + unzipped the factory Android 4.3 image from Google

2. I have also downloaded + unzipped SDK Lite

3. I have plugged my N4 into my PC + have started it up in 'safe mode'

4. Phone status: Secure Boot = enabled, Lock State = unlocked

5. I am able to open the command window, but I don't know what commands I need to type to replace Cyanogenmod with stock Android that I have on my PC....please can somebody put me out my misery?

UPDATE: I think I bricked my phone

When I restart it, all that happens is that I see the CM logo and it never goes further.

I think this happened because I opened up the cmd console and messed about with some commands I was learning about!

I think what's killed it are the fastboot oem lock and unlock commands...here is the cmd log from when I was messing about with it:

Any ideas what to do now? I no longer have a working phone.

Well, about an hour ago, I thought I had a handy paperweight.

A big thanks to Lion for pointing me in the right direction and also a big thanks to the developers of the kit. I'm gonna go and make a donation, they deserve a few beers on me. The NRT installed a clean OEM copy of Android and my phone happily works!

I'm gonna stick around to learn more about rooting, flashing and all those commands I think.

Hi @AntonG, and welcome to Android Forums :)

I'm glad to see that @lion7718 was able to get you pointed to the NRT - and that the toolkit was able to get you back into business. Once you're comfortable with a working phone again and want to experiment with rooting and flashing and whatnot, we've got a few threads that might make good starting points:

Before you root read this
[Guide]How to flash a Nexus Factory Image manually.
Super-detailed flashing instructions (meant for a Nexus 6, but the steps for flashing any Nexus is pretty much the same)

And, as always, let us know if you have any questions - we're all happy to help. :)

Have fun!

Thanks folks, appreciate the welcome and the help. Phone is back to normal, and I will now begin to read up on the material you posted above. I'm sure I will have questions, so will post back! ;)
