Help plz help software update

[Android Question]

My current android device is samsung galaxy tab3 version 4.2.2 model SM-T217s So I got to software update and it sayed my device has been modified unable to update. Sonplz tell me how to do this my device is not rooted I even installed root checher and it sayed my device is not rooted so plz help me.

Yeh, was it ever rooted, or did you even attempt to root it at any time? Because even if a particular rooting tool reportedly failed to root it, it could well have made modifications(damage) to the firmware. We've had posts about that before with Samsung devices.

Don't know if the Tab 3 has Knox or not, but if it does, check the status of the Knox counter in settings. If it states x01, then it's modified

I did what you said and both of the knox settings say oxo but my system status says custom

@glc ..Thts mine 2. If i install the stock firmware using odin it become official. But ddnt try to restore my back up on kies because it is rooted. If i restore on restore on kies will be back on rooted?
