Help plz help with s3 verizon update to 4.3

hey fellaz

i just got a used galaxy s3 verizon sch-i535. its currently running 4.0.4 i do not have service. use only stickjly for wifi when i goto settings.aboutphone and to updates it says no updates avalable im assuming caz i dont have "service" so how can i download the update and install manually ?

i have rooted a few phones and and comfortable. with that said thought id rather not have to root the s3 if possible

It should be able to download the update over wifi.
Have you tried installing Samsung Kies on a pc, plugging the phone in and doing it that way?

it's odd that it is running ICS. (Android 4.0.4) mine came new out of the box with Android 4.1.2, same model...sure it's not rooted and simply running an old ROM?

As funky mentioned, is it possible to download the update via wifi?
Or, (and I have never used it) use Kies?

Mine was on ICS when i got it mate. Sounds like its never had an update :thumbup:
