Help PNY 10 class SD card problems

Yeah, I seem to be in here a lot.

I bought a PNY card to replace the sandisk that came with my X when it died after six months. (^#^%$%^@##!!!) Not much choice, it was the quickest I could find that wasn't quite as expensive as Verizon wanted. It's a 10 class, 16 GB.

Except now I'm having problems that I'm thinking is either the card or Gingerbread. At random times programs will claim I don't have a card installed (like my camcorder last night), which means I have to go into settings, unmount it, remount it, and then it works. I tried cleaning everything off, formatting it through the phone, and reloaded my stuff; that seems to have borked WidgetLocker so thoroughly I couldn't even load up a sound file without it force closing. I had to uninstall and reinstall WL several times; now it works again. Has anyone else run into problems with this brand (or class) of card?

ya im starting to think these are crap cards, i got a class 10 32g and lately whenever i try and listen to music it will just shut the phone off, i usually used double twist so now im trying diff music apps to see if that helps, but it seems to do it more when i try and listen to music and txt w/ hancent. idk if its just too much going on for the phone or what

Class 10 cards are for camera and camcorders (large files written sequentially).

For Android use most of the files are quite small and arranged all over the disk where the cheaper cards are actually better. You best bet would be a class 2 or class 4 Sandisk, which just happens to be common and cheap. :D
