Pocket PC emulators on Android?

Aikuchi

Lurker
I have a Droid X

I would like to run a program that requires Microsoft Windows Pocket PC 2003 Second Edition or higher (but not Windows Phone 7).

Are there any Pocket PC emulators on Android?

Definatly would be very cool since Microsoft themselves aren't even making Windows Mobile 7 backward compatible to run there old .cab apps.

Rooted HTC Incredible: Any ideas out there to install programs meant for Pocket PC on Froyo?

PS... Aikuchi.... I know what you want this for. I just got mine at our meeting on Sunday.

I am having the same problem! I could get WTL 2009 to install on my Samsung Moment but couldn't get it to run! I thought it was because I was on an older Mac even though I was running Virtual PC with Windows XP. I now have a new MacBook Pro & have downloaded a another program for my WTL 2010 but still can't get it to install on my droid :( Sadly, the only reason I purchased this phone is because it was Windows based & I wanted to have my Library on it! So much for that idea :(

Has anyone figured out how to get WTLibrary on their phone? I have the new HTC incredible S, and I was really hoping i could get the WTL on there....

I'm in the same boat with the rest of you....Am looking to get the W.T.L 2010 to work on my HTC Desire.....If you come up with anything, please let me know. :-)

Ok first of all who told you that the samsung moment was a windows based phone? are you nuts? all android based operating system are linux based same as the iphone! They aren't windows based. and has anyone notice that everyone here is trying to install the watchtower library ? its not some other program they are trying to emulation on window 2003. it make me wonder why the society would write software on such outdated operating system that no one has! In fact i almost fell out of my chair when they read out of a KM that windows phone was the most popular OS. first of all android is the most popular across the entire world. there are more phones and more types of phones that have android than any other phone. Iphone comes in a close 2nd. but they use a simlar kernal and could very easy be made available to both phones. well maybe not Iphone cause u have to put it on the apps store purchase though itunes and i doubt the society would let that happen. but android simple could through it on and install! but still i am not sure what those brothers are thinking when they made a mobile verison for windows 2003

I have found a way to access my WTL. I downloaded pocket cloud from the Android market connected it to my laptop and I can access it anywhere. The downside to this is I have to leave my laptop on and connected to the internet.

So I gather this is not possible? I was hoping to get a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and load it on there to use on shepherding calls...

Hi Bros/Sisters. I too have a HTC Incredible S and a couple of Tabs and was trying to find an emulator for Android. Hope they make it available for next year. I have Examining the Scriptures Daily on it and just love it.

WTBTS is and always has been one of the most advanced in communications - just because we haven't figured it out (qristheone) doesn't mean they've messed up. It'll be cleared up soon I'm sure, as they hear of others like us that can't seem to get our brains on the same level. I'll be one of the last to "get" this, so keep me posted! thanks!

I would rather have an Etch-A-Sketch OS on my phone than Windows.

why? windows mobile was the best thing ever in its prime.. it layed out the basic ideas for android....

plus theres so many things winmo did that android cant..
i would love to see what touchflo3d could do on a dual core processor with a gig of ram...

and spb mobile shell for winmo is 1000x better than the crap they are charging $15 for on google play

guess what. the wtl 2012 is out but still requires windows ppc 2003 :-( did anybody find an emulator that works?

Christian love to all :-)

Karen.

There is one thing about the emulators. I had the Palm one on Symbian. The program was designed for 320x320 and that's how it runs. You can have a large screen, but you will still get 320x320.
