Does the Droid Maxx have pocket detection? Tried gravity screen off and it works for a while then stops working.

If you use Tasker, the following profile does what you want ...

Profile: tlaPocket
State: Proximity Sensor
Enter: Anon
A1: Variable Set [ Name:%POCKET To:%DTOUT Do Maths:Off Append:Off ]
A2: Display Timeout [ Secs:7 Mins:0 Hours:0 ]
Exit: Anon
A1: Display Timeout [ Secs:%POCKET Mins:0 Hours:0 ]

It will timeout after 7 sec when out in your pocket and return the timeout to the previous setting when removed from your pocket.
