Point me to the Best, Incredible 2 - fastest wireless tether thread, forum, post, site.

I'm tired of the PDAnet speed. Too slow.
I was looking at revoked, but I would like some educated ideas please :)

Welcome to Android Forums!
I have moved this thread to the Incredible 2 "all things root" section of the forum where you should be able to get some help.:)

I believe it is generally frowned upon here to discuss tethering if it is in violation of your contract, but if it isn't violating your contract you could try Barnacle. I have used it and it works well.
Speed is not ever going to exeed your 3g connection speed. If you check your 3g speed with Speedtest you can find out what your connection speed is going to be tops tethering.

Thanks, I'll check out Barnacle and others.

Just looking for the fastest connection from my phone to laptop. Like so many, haha :)

aaa, noo

Wired tether will prob be faster than wireless! That's what I thought untill someone said I was limited by the weak link of the usb. He said the cable would restrict the velocity. blahblahblah

When browsing on my phone the web isn't bad, but when I hook up to my laptop, the internet is awful! It can take 30 sec to load a page, sometimes it doesn't load, so I enable airplane mode and try a new ip.

What would you do?

Every source I have seen (including PdaNet's website I believe) has said wired is faster. In fact, here is my wired result:

vs my wireless:

Maybe you have a bad usb cable? :pcguru:
