phone keeps going into safe mode how to prevent/fix Alcatel from Cricket (cheapest, about $20) Android 6.0.1
 
It depends why it is doing that. Usually you get into safe mode by booting while pressing some button or buttons, so the first thing I'd check is whether any of the keys is stuck.
