Political fund raising

From your cited source "noting that U.S. tax professors Bernard Wolfman of the Harvard Law School and Martin Ginsburg of Georgetown University Law Center, concluded that no crime was committed, and that Rich's companies' tax-reporting position was reasonable.[9] In the same essay Clinton listed Libby as one of three "distinguished Republican lawyers" who supported a pardon for Marc Rich."

Besides Federal Prosecutor James Comey others were critical as well:

According to Paul Volcker's independent investigation of Iraqi Oil-for-Food kickback schemes, Marc Rich was a middleman for several suspect Iraqi oil deals involving over 4 million barrels (640,000 m3) of oil.[21] Longtime Clinton supporters and Democratic leaders such as former President Jimmy Carter, James Carville and Terry McAuliffe, were all critical of the Clinton pardon. Carter said the pardons were "disgraceful."

... And where are those wealthy Democratic donors from 4 years ago?

The Democrats are the best chance to get the bribery/extortion system in check. They did make an attempt to at least do away with anonymous 501(c)(4) political donations, but the Republicans defeated the bill.

The financial institutions know that Romney will do away with those pesky rules, so they can go back to gambling, with the taxpayer picking up the tab for losing bets.

Morning Jay: Why Is Obama

Pg. 2 "Clearly, Obama is suffering a major problem with the big financial institutions, which gave overwhelmingly to his campaign in 2008. This time around, they are holding back; in fact, Citigroup, G.E., JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley are all among [FONT=&quot]Mitt Romney

And the wealthy non-banking people who supported Obama in 2008 aren't giving why? Because they view Obama's performance as underwhelming at best.

The Reaganomic policies of the Republicans have bankrupt the country and the middle class, thus the Republican Robber Barons with taxpayer TARP funds and do not tax the divine rich policies generously support the Republican Party to keep the party going.

And the wealthy people who supported Obama last year have gone where again? You do realize that this is the exact same complaint as last election cycle only the names of the parties are reversed.

This page shows direct fundraising by Obama and Romney.

Obama: ... $348m Small donor: 40%
Romney: .. $192m Small donor: 19%

Anti-Obama: ... $93m
Anti-Romney: .. $32m

That wasn't the case at all 4 years ago. Four years ago wealthy people (especially wealthy liberals) supported Obama. Now they are no longer giving. You'd think that would be a concern to him.

How are you drawing that conclusion ? Is it because Obama is receiving 40% of his direct funding from small donors ($139M), which is 72% of all Romney donations ?

Yep and that $6 billion plus a huge mark up will be paid by voters.
