Help Poor battery after installing Nova Launcher?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm assuming it's Nova that's affecting the battery performance but it could also be another app I've installed recently.

The difference is quite dramatic.

Battery stats show screen and cell standby as major contributors but it always has so I'm not convinced.

Any help would be appreciated.

no problems here with nova

i do have a system app that runs away now and then, also open signal ran away on me just last night, had to force stop it

i use elixir 2 to find these

I didn't notice a drop off back when I switched from touchwiz to nova. Also, nova was the only 3rd party launcher that ran as smoothly as touchwiz for me.
