Poor vision/visibility options

So, even though I'm 28, I have terrible vision; I just had cataracts removed, so I am now finding myself unable to see up close without reading glasses. Anyhow, I wanted to know what all the options are to make things more visible on my new S5.

I know you can change the text size, but it mostly only helps the text in messages. It doesn't help text under apps, in the notification window, or in individual apps. I am also aware of the accessibility options in the browser.

I just wanted to make sure that I"m not overlooking some options. I Just upgraded from an S2, so a lot has changed since then and I don't want to have to use my reading glasses all the time. Thank you.

Unless you had bifocal lenses implanted (and they do you any good - some people still need reading glasses), you've done about all you can do, unless you want to have a pair of bifocals made with plano distance and whatever you need for reading at the distance you normally hold the phone. Until my wife had her cataracts done, she had 2 pairs of bifocal glasses - distance-mid for driving (to see the dashboard) and mid-reading (for the laptop and phone/paper).

I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss out on any little tips or apps.

One thing I have been curious about is double-tapping. I used to be able to do it in my gallery/browser in my S2, but I can't on my S5. The browser also doesn't auto fit/resize the text when I pinch. Is there a setting I can change for both of these things?
