Help POP3 Sync Interval?

New to Continuum and I setup my work and personal email, both POP3 accounts. I can send and receive fine. Issue is I received an email 4 hours after the originator sent it yesterday.

How do I configure the Sync interval to shorten this?

The Account Settings does not even let you see or change anything of what was entered when creating the pop3 email, how crude.

I went with K9 and it is fantastic EXCEPT, no mail icon in the ticker when a message is recieved. Im frustrated...
Good word for the default email client - Crude!

There is no Ticker display for new Gmail notifications with the default email application, which is ironic.
