Root (Port) Behold II Factory 1.6

Just as I was getting used to R8! I'm going to switch to this because I hate having to charge my phone in the middle of the day. Any idea of a rough time frame for a stripped down version of this (i.e. no touchwiz or bloatware)? I only ask because if it's going to be soon I won't bother flashing my phone again yet. BH_MAN, you are awesome and I'm definitely going to donate to the cause!
 
This is missing superuser.apk thus cannot get those programs to work.

To install Superuser.apk to get root to work on programs like Root Explorer or Titanium Backup
Download the file: 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download Superuser.apk

Move it into the sdk/tools folder.

then do:
adb install Superuser.apk

PS. BH_MAN can you include Connected Music Player on the next version! :-)

No time frame. Just take as he gives. If he doesnt then carry extra battery. :D

Note: Did you turn off GPS location? Discharge to 0%, charge in off mode to 100%? Reboot after every recharge?

Im R8 with 45-50hrs of battery time. Moderate usage, text and surfing.

Nor Can I access SU in Terminal... Im assuming its not rooted?

yea i installed it... im not quite sure what to do with it tho... pardon my ignorance

sudo won't work either? what am I missing?
 
I think I've been spoiled by Odin; I have no clue how to do the whole adb push to get the camera fix working. Can anyone just walk me through it step by step starting with where do I type the commands?

wow start by googling "how to set up adb for android"
 
Just a note to those using the default unzip feature of windows, you need to make sure that Camer_16_Fix doesn't then contain another folder or else the apps will end up getting installed in /system/app/Camer_16_Fix instead of /system/app as they should.

And yes Voice search FC

update: Had a thought, it could be a problem similar to what caused Voice Search to FC in the other mods. Missing a library maybe

On a side note... If anyone has a Dump of the Last 1.5 no Twiz... Can you Please Pull the /system/media/video/shutdown Folder and Upload it for me.... The one Had Modded to be Blue & Good Bye From BH_MAN?
