Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

As posted before, go to your SD card and create a folder named SD, This should work fine from there on.

Thank you BH_MAN for all your work. It was simple and I only added better keyboard and astro. This is so much better than the stock rom.

Thanks for the SD folder tip. Gallery works great now.

How the heck do I get my apps to install to the card? I can't get it to work. I thought we just had to make the partitions and restart the phone... Can anyone give me a step by step? Thanks!

I am running R5 still and I just did a2sd but I only got about 50mb of extra space on my phone. I ran the new script to and I partitioned 384mb so it's kinda odd to only see 127mb free (I will upgrade to R7 soon and hopefully it will be fixed.)

Forget reception Heck I am just glad we aint stuck with the original phone. 1.6 is great BH-man should run for Samsung's president and Well.... yeh I am happy.

It will happen automatically, if you check Settings | SD Card & Storage you will see that the phone memory you have is an avg of 130 MB even with all your apps that you have installed post upgrade. Everything happens without user interaction.

When I created the New Folder called "SD" it worked perfectly fine!! thanks for the tip. One problem that im having is installing apps, It gives me an 102 error code, don't know if this would be an issue with the service or do to R7. I have taken the battery out, reset so many times and still the same. I also cant install Google maps, at all, It was installed yesterday and today in the morning it was uninstall.

I cant ask for more unless its 2.1....

Ya my reception isn't as good either

Same... for some reason, just sitting at my house where I normally have full bars, I am now sitting at "No service." Not sure what's up, but didn't have that problem before when running R6.

Is there a possibility that something was affected in R7 in regards to phone service?

FYI - I have this issue once in a while running stock, reboot doesn't always help. So it might be a hardware issue.

I've had similar problems with TMO even prior to my BH2. Great signal strength and then out of the blue nothing. 15 minutes later all is good. I noticed that on rainy days reception seems worse. No hard evidence just my sense. I have not noticed any real difference since moving to 1.6

quick question...i'm about to go from R1 to R7....do I need to format my sdcard to ext2 first? what app can I use to do that, I'm on a macbook right now.

The worst is that I have a tower about 60 feet above me, and I get the outages, plus my 3G signal is weak. :( The only think I miss from my Blackberry is UMA.

if you have a tower above you you have a 85% chance that the signal your phone is receiving is not from that tower (unless its an omnidirectional tower). Signals from Cell towers travel in curved waves away from the tower at a 120 deg angle outwards / per cell unit. unless you are in that range in front of the tower chances are that your are receiving signals from another tower.

Yes I installed GSM towers for 5 years...

No you don't have to but if you want to then you can use a linux live cd to format the drive to ext2 or even see if your mac can format that file system. Otherwise I don't know any mac programs for partitioning.

I didn't get a signal before they installed the tower, but they could have also installed a tower a block away also. (I live in midtown Manhattan)
