Yo BH Man,about ur latest r5 rom,if i dont partition sdcard at all would the Rom work regular like all others?
If not can u make another version with no partitioning required?
I just put my apps in /system/app folder,that way if i do system restore than they are still there,and i suspect that apps run faster from that folder also.

I have 2 requests also,can u put latest Nemo Player(Acer Liquid stock media player) instead of stock player or you cant do it because of copy rights?And Handcent instead of sms?I dont see why would anyone use stock sms over Handcent.Thanx for ur work and i got u on few beers next week.
 
quick question... Im fairly sure you can go straight from stock to this ROM by following the simple instructions (which i am about to attempt) but can you go back to stock if you wish? thanks

not sure I understand your question? Are you trying to use odin to put the zip file on your phone?If so you need to open up the zip file. Are trying to get at the .md5 file?

Yes Have you looked at the Behold 2 Stock ( No Twiz w/ Root & Busybox ) w/ Update! it is a very good and stable rom.
 
after updating to the 3rd version of the 1.6 rom, i cant get either version 4 or 5 to download all the way on my phone. with my limited knowledge on this stuff and based on the info people have given me i have to update my baseband to vja3 since its still at vga6. so i follow the steps to a t and as im entering everything into odin right after i put the file in phone a popup tells me that odin isnt working properly and shuts it down. i uninstalled and reinstalled odin and it doesnt make any difference. im lost
 
I think he is referring to why your notification bar is murdered out, instead of the white bar that comes with 1.6.
 
Love A2SD ... 50 apps & counting and I'm looking at 151mb free :D

Only problem I noticed so far, if you install a faulty application which was htc-ime for me ... it constantly force closes and after you uninstall you constantly get an acore FC.

Master reset and a 2nd reboot fixed it though.
 
Hi,
I tired to install the R5 and wifi is not working. It shows that it ON but there is a small text under it says "unable to stop wifi" I tired to reboot but it still same way.

I think from lushmoney post #702. He said he unable to install Apps from market as it was giving him error. Havnt got any1 else to confirm it yet. I dont want to use R5 since Im content with R4. Might switch to App2SD later.

As far as stock sms, reason why it was removed it because it was not working properly. People like myself were unable to send out picture mms. Thats y stock player was put back in as the backbone of the sms/mms. But you can disable notification in stock then use handcent for our main messaging app.
