Root [PORT][ROM][WIP]Party Time JB by Superboy4444

I have plans for a modded stock rom namdd nexuslife whoch would look completely fldiffeeent and have a total vanilla look to kt

Superboy444 what r all the problems with this rom?

Same ones from the previous ports. Camera and messaging. I'm working on resizing them. Just having problems getting them to sign properly. I'm gonna try virtuous 10 studios later.

Why not take the stock versions of those, and stick them into /system/app/ or /data/app/ if system gets too large. Afaik the CyanogenMod versions from a similiar device with the same dpi will also work.

Is this ROM safe, like should I take the chance and flash it or should I give it awhile? I have successfully flashed 2 ROM's before if that helps.

Hey is it ok if i flash this without wiping my data because i didnt do it with the super stock rom plus and it worked fine but will not wiping affect anything in this situation?

Yes, you guys gotta remember these are ports and with these being ports everything isn't gonna be perfect, try to support the guys that are trying to bring nice stuff to your phones...

To fix the display being too big: Use a File Manager that has root privelages, then navigate to /system, open build.prop with a text editor and change the line that references sf.lcd.density to 160, save the file then reboot, that should fix it... :)

Awesome will try thanks dude. And trust me i do appreciate the work you guys do its amazing and so exciting to try out

Actually I just told you guys how to fix it, but if you want to fix the actual file in the rom zip, all you havta do is open the zip with WinRAR or equivalent on your computer Desktop, then double click into system folder, then click build.prop and drag from zip onto desktop, now open it with Notepad++ and edit the line that references sf.lcd.density, change the number there to 160, save the file, right click the build.prop that's still in the system folder in the zip and click delete, then drag build.prop from your desktop back into the system folder in the zip and then move the zip to your extSdCard and reflash it and you should be good to go!! :D

And this is safe? Just want to double check before I start messing with it.

Uploading it now. Its dropbox but I doubt they will disable my account for heavy traffic on these boards.

Here you go. Partytime v1.2 for Rush.

As with anything I recommend a full wipe. Data/Cache/Dalvik. Its hard to pin point what issues anyone has if you don't. Problems could carry over from a previous rom. Me personally, I never solved any issues anyone had unless you posted a logcat but I hardly expect that on here. If anyone is scared to flash this then just Google sckboy78 roms. Don't let my post count fool you.

OK. Good news and bad news. Got the camera resized. Now it force closes. We need stock camera. I recall seeing in the stock build.prop some camera stuff. I believe we need that in this build.prop. I guess I'll restore back to stock and add in the lines to the current. Hopefully I will get some results. Also, if I add in the stock camera, it won't need the odex will it? I'm also gonna switch out the libs. I know on this one it has a couple more than what stock had.

Edit: nevermind about the build.prop. It was in csc. Well I pulled just about everything I could think of from stock system. Here goes nothing

Edit2: no go
