Portable Bluetooth speakers

My Monster Clarity HD Bluetooth has quit working. I can still use it via the 3.5mm jack but I want a wireless connection. I tried the jambox and sound matters before I got the clarity and like the clarity better. My question is do any of you have one you absolutely love at a reasonable price. I'm thinking about getting the Jabra Solemate or maybe the isound. The Bose is too big and expensive for my taste. Any other models I should look into? There are a bunch out there and would appreciate any help.

I'm near into a year's use of the Bose. I do think it's likely over priced but it has functioned flawlessly and has a great sound with plenty of bass. I'm sorry you think it's too big and over priced. It's a great unit.

We have a Bose thing that works pretty well. Ours doesn't do BT, but I'm sure they do one that does.

A friend has some of these and the sound is absolutely awesome - really hard to believe that something so small can produce such great sound. Obviously, one only gives you mono, however you can string 2 together for stereo.

Thanks guys. Right now it's between the isound twist, jbl flip and the monster clarity. I am going to have to review those x minis as well.

I've got another question. Will my phone or tablet connect to 2 different Bluetooth devices at the same time?

My gut feeling is no. I've never tried to connect to multiple BT devices at the same time so I'm only guessing. There is some wiggle room in there however. If you have two like devices there is a chance your phone would connect to the one device but both receivers might catch the stream. Interesting question.

I'm sure your phone is like mine. It will list memorized connections and you have the chance to link to one or another. There is not an option to choose multiple devices to link with. So if you could stream to multiple devices, they would have to be two of the same.

Please share if you find more information about this or can prove or disprove the theory above. I'm interested.

I had something like that happen back when I was using my G1. I had an Axim X51v Pocket PC I was using to listen to Music from the 32GB CF card with my Bluetooth headphones when suddenly I could hear the phone ringing in the headset. I tapped the answer button and completed the call. When I hung up the music from the Axim was still playing. So the Headphones were paried with two devices and still worked. The music even paused while I was on the call. The Axim was running a Windows Mobile OS and I guess microsoft left in some phone functions even though my Axim couldn't make calls.

As to portable bluetooth speakers the best battery life I've read about is 20 hours from these handy little numbers.
