Root Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot service from VM

Is anyone using VM's $15 portable wi-fi hotspot service?

Can I buy this for use with a rooted phone (MiRaGe)?

Will it force me to lose my $25/mo grandfathered VM plan?

Or does VM even agree that portable wi-fi hotspot capability even exists on the VM670? It's been so long since I've been on stock and can't remember if it was possible or not.

I know I could ask VM about this, but I don't want to unnecessarily draw attention to my hacked phone.

if i remember correctly it was a feature in the beginning. then they updated it and took out that functionality... i could be wrong tho its been so long.

WiFi hotspot capabilities are native with MiRaGe on the OV.
