Root Porting Jellybean 4.2 mms.apk to ICS. Is it possible?

Is it possible to port the Jellybean SMS app to ICS? (Mobster ROM specifically). Is it as easy as just copying over the mms.apk from one of our many Jellybean ROMs or is it a little more involved than that? I honestly love Jellybean's stock sms app. It's clean, has group mms support, emoji support, etc. Handcent is slow and Go SMS Pro is so bloated. Chomp has a very ugly UI. There simply are no desirable 3rd party messaging apps for Android but Jellybean's stock SMS is perfect IMHO. Simple, Clean, Necessary Features.

Any help on how I could go about doing that is much appreciated if it's even possible.

Are you aware of any way to get MMS working? What if I grabbed the mms.apk from the mms fix thread?
