Porting Question

Since Tmobile owns MetroPCS how would porting of a metropcs number to Tmobile work if I wanted to sign up for the Tmobile $30 plan (100 min. unlimited text, 5g data) I guess I'm asking if that is a problem in any way. I know the $30 plan is not an option for tmobile customers just moving over a sim/number... it has to be a "new activation." But going from metropcs to tmobile taking the metropcs number to tmobile would that be just like going from AT&T or Sprint or Verizon to Tmobile?

Hope this is clear enough!

Basically looking to buy a tmobile samsung galaxy avant and sign up for the $30 plan porting over my metropcs number to tmobile and the avant.

I merged your threads! how porting between the same owner works! Even tho tmobile owns metro to leave metro is a cancel and technically to Tmobile you are a new customer! Its the same as any process unless it was from one acct on metro to another then that is diff! Hope that helps!

Yea but you should pay it off first, and do metro thingy. You can't just pop in a sim and go with metro. Gotta pair meid 1st
