Root Porting Y201 pro?

Hey everyone!
I picked up my fusion 2 just a few days ago (previous phone died on me and I can't JTAG it).

I know there's work going into porting CM7 and CM9 to the U8665. CM is nice but unless if Huawei is developer friendly, it might be very difficult to get the camera/video and bluetooth working (at least when I followed CM development with an old Samsung, an Xperia x10 and the Sensation). Has anyone thought about porting the rom from the Y201 pro? It appears that the Y201 pro has identical hardware but it came with ICS and a different baseband/radio. It may be an easy way to get ICS to these devices. From there it should be easy to strip away and create a base where mods could then be incorporated.

I want to give it a shot but my work and class schedule is making it impossible for me to learn porting a rom for at least the next couple months. My previous experience with any type of Android work has only been modifying system apks (and only mildly at that).

The y201 pro roms do not work me shagerty and zerosedev are all working hard to bring you cm7.2 by the end of next week is my goal i had to move it for family reasons and shagerty bricked his phone lol but the 201 has a diffrent boot code the y200 normal however has the same we have a cm7.2 almost bug free and a cm9 that is way out of the ball park it has no audio and no working phone app(easy fix audio is the hard part)

And PS we are all beginners lol zerosedev is the one with tech education :p I just winged it and contacted shagerty about an idea of porting and little did I know he was almost just as new as me lol but these two are what is keeping me from giving up and not just returning this phone and get a different one with cm10 lol I think after all of this me shag and zerosedev have all got out of our comfort zone and learned a lot

Hehe, cool. I didn't take any offense or anything. Just trying to throw out any ideas that maybe no one else has thought of yet. Here's another one...

The y201 pro (u8666) won't boot on the fusion 2 (u8665). They probably changed the boot code/procedure/whatever when they began installing ICS as oem.

Do you know if the U8650/U8651/U8652 (U865X series) would boot with our u8665? The only reason I was thinking of that was since it seems the U865X series work together and that the u8655 works with our u8665. I just can't find out if the u8650-2 works with the u8655.
