Help Portrait becomes Landscape

When I take a photo in portrait (vertical) mode on my GS3, other apps on my phone, and other devices like a computer will only recognize the photo as taken in landscape (horizontal) mode.

I've read numerous issues across the web detailing this problem with no viable solutions. I've tried restarting, calibrating the gyroscope, turning auto-rotate on and off, with no success. My question is--is there a solution? Or is this just a Samsung/AT&T issue that cannot be fixed?

what do you mean it wont recognize them? you saying they dont exist or they are flipped sideways when you export the to your PC or other programs

to clarify, i said they are not recognize as portrait mode photos. the are all landscape photos. meaning i either have to rotate EVERY photo... or the photo is unusable if the app has no rotate software.

ya thats pretty common with phones like these including my iPhone, i found a small fix for instance on twitter it was always rotating them when posting but facebook kept them the right orientation.

so for twitter what i read and it works is crop the image first(you can crop the full image) than when you post it on twitter its the proper orientation

as for when plugging in to PC your only fix is like your said rotate them

Yeah, that's one thing that drives me nuts with this phone. I use the crop method described above, but it is a bit annoying.
