Help Portrait view does not work, touch still does

Hi, first I would like to say that I love this phone (except for the on-phone storage).

I recently am having an issue with it. The screen only works when the phone is slid open (landscape). Portrait(vertical) does not work.

If I wake the phone it shows all static but touch still works. Also if I go from boot or landscape to portrait the screen will be stuck at the last image.

I have tried doing a factory reset and a firmware reset using the PC companion. Please help.

Unfortunately this sounds like a hardware problem with the flex cable in which case I would have to advise that you return the phone for repair.
