Root Possible Bricking/problem with full storage mid root

So, I was following the instuctions here re: rooting and adding cyanogen custom rom, I think I had a storage issue at first as I didn't clear enough space and cyanogen never installed (end of step 2 on that link). I did a factory reset, maybe a few times, trying to clear space and install, now I have a rooted tablet, fine, but have no internal storage space on the tablet itself so cannot download any apps such as Rom manager. The miscellaneous folder on the tablet is like 4.42gb and system is 3.41 - play store keeps crashing etc. Any advice on clearing enough space to put rom manager back on or how to go back to square one??? Thnaks....
