Possible problem with phone or watch?

Hello. I usually shutdown my phone (samsung galaxy s8) every night before I go to sleep. Every morning when I power my phone back on, I have to reconnect my watch to my device. Is there any reason or way to have it automatically reconnect to my phone after it powers back on? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I assume it connects via bluetooth?

Yes it does. The phone has a notification that the watch is connected but the watch doesnt seem to have connection.

What device and watch do you have? (may be relevant later)

Anyway, I'd have to putz with my watch and the Wear App when I get home to see if there is some setting we're missing.

Its the newest galaxy watch. Im using samsungs gear app should I use the android wear app?

Ah Samsung. Not familiar with the Samsung watch OS but I don't think the Android Wear app will work with that.

Hopefully a Samsung smarty will chime in here about that.
