Possible to always be unlocked?

Neither my wife or I keep any sensitive data on our phones. We both find it to be a pain to have to swipe the unlock screen to answer calls or otherwise use the phone. Is there a way to remove this requirement? An app that does this?

I think that the swipe is there so the phone doesnt accidentally make calls (or other things are activated) while it is in your pocket, not to protect data

The unlock screen shouldn't interfere with answering calls.

Did you install a 3rd party dialer?

You may not think you have anything sensitive on the phone, but if you keep family telephone #s, email addies, home addresses, work#s, you're opening them up for possible hacking at the least or ID theft at worst. How about if you have them in your facebook widget and they talk about what a great time they're having while on vacation...you're opening them up to possible burglary.

Better to put up with the small hassle of a swipe than to have to worry about all that. At least make it difficult for someone to get access to that info.

We installed Easy Answer Buttons. Didn't like having to swipe to answer phone. This time of year my wife wears gloves and she couldn't swipe. Get the trend? We don't like to swipe. :)

As for your other concerns about security we don't belong to social networking sites and don't lock our phones anyway. Over time I may re-evaluate the decision not to lock.

Got it about the swipe.

And yes, I had that issue with Easy Dialer.

I uninstalled it because I had to unlock the phone to answer it.

Without Stock, the answer is over the lock, but as you say, you have to "swipe" instead of click.

I solve this by having a bluetooth earpiece. Phone never leaves my pocketbook when I'm out and about. Answer with a press of a button.

If you ever do decide to get a BT earpiece, get one that is A2DP compatible, so you can listen to music through it as well. You can use any BT, but if it's not A2DP, you can't hear music through it.
