Root Possible to go into recovery and flash roms without working dpad?

Hello. For some reason not all of the buttons on my physical keyboard work. However the majority of them do seem to work. On the dpad the down and center buttons do not work, the up add right buttons work just fine and the left is a little tricky. I already have the phone rooted but is there anyway I can flash roms and actually use the recovery and bootloader screens without that middle dpad button? I know Rom Rom manager has a clockworkmod touch flash but it doesn't support this phone. Is there anything else I can try that may work? Like maybe mapping it differently, or an app that can help me? Thank you in advance.

I have not used my droid in awhile but i believe you can use the volume up and down to navigate and the power button or camera button to accept.

You really don't need to get into bootloader at all and as posted, you use the volume and camera keys to navigate in the custom recoveries. And yes ROM Manager is one way to just boot into recovery. To manually boot into recovery, you only need the 'x' key to work.
